We caught a train from Florence to Rome yesterday morning.  The trip was only one and a half hours so we raced off to the Coloseum, the Spanish Steps, the Fontana di Trevi and finally to the supermarket to stock up for the week :)

Today (Rome day two) we have been shopping, I some very nice places to buy clothes, some extremely expensive and others quite reasonable.  We also visited the local Ferrari shop today which (among other things) has pistons and various parts from actual Grand Prix winning cars for sale... however they cost about as much as our entire trip... so perhaps next time!

Vatican / Sistine Chapel tomorrow which will be great.  We have four more nights here in Rome and then we are off home with a two night stop over in Hong Kong.  We'll be back before you know it.
