Just made it!
 
We went through customs at Auckland airport when it was boarding time.  There was a final boarding call when we were in line - we arrived Just in Time!!!
 
In Hong Kong International airport we went to the gate displayed on our flight Gate 18 to board our HK - London plane.  However this gate was for British Airways.  Our boarding gate was the other side of the airport at Gate 3!!!  We were still able to arrive half and hour before our boarding time :o)
